Bar Bacon will soon open in the space on the east side of 4th Ave. between 12th and 13th formerly occupied by Royal Bar. So if you like bacon….

The good ol’ days at the northern end of Union Square, date unknown. Note the curved facade of the building that more recently was home to the Kellogg’s Cafe. 

Last month, Union Square had to say good-bye to Food Emporium, formerly located at 10 Union Square East. While we are sorry to see the long-time neighborhood spot go, we are excited to be welcoming Target to this location in 2023! In the meantime, there are still great places to buy your everyday groceries and household essentials with flexible in-store and delivery/pick-up options for a seamless shopping experience. The W Hotel has undergone a $100 million renovation, including new restaurants and a new rooftop bar. With room rates now at $650, it’s pretty high-end.

There will be another messy and smelly street fair on University Place on August 8.

Looks like Tong Thai Brasserie is ready to open on 13th just east of University. The menu looks much more interesting than that of the average Thai place, and they will be doing delivery as well.
