  • 15 Union Square West

    In case you haven’t seen the renderings for 15 Union Square West, here they are. And here’s one $4,100,000 listing. The interesting thing about this development is that it retains the original cast-iron window frames from the 19th-century while wrapping the whole thing in 21st-century glass.   • Candy Will Be Dandy on Union Sq. West

    Life in Union Square is about to get a little tastier. The Real Deal reports that Dylan’s Candy Bar signed a long-term lease for 3,300 square feet at 33 Union Square West between Blue Water Grill and Heartland Brewery. Loosen you belts, because sweet addition joins Breads Bakery on the west side of Union Square, which has already become a neighborhood hit with its sweet baked goods.

  • Union Square Partnership’s Annual Report Has Arrived

    To get a sense of the pulse of the neighborhood, check out the USP’s ANNUAL REPORT. It’s full of interesting plans and action items, such as:

    Public Space Activations: This summer, USP is rolling
    out new seating areas, enhanced landscaping, the
    second annual mural along the 14th Street Busway,
    and hosting an Oonee Pod Mini, a prototype for safe
    bike storage.

    Park Upgrades: In partnership with NYC Parks, USP
    will develop a Union Square Park infrastructure
    plan that includes upgraded utilities, irrigation, and
    bathrooms amenities, as well as a preservation plan
    of the entire district’s tree canopy.

    Since January 2021, 46 new businesses have opened in and around Union Square.
