Strand Scatters Homeless Teens with Showers

Well, here is what our new neighbor on the southeast corner of 5th and 13th is going to look like, and here are all the details. Not bad. At least it aint all glass.

Every Thursday at 9AM from June 18 until August 13 you can join Brooklyn Bridge Boot Camp at the south end of Union Square for a free cardio workout. Feel the burn.

Art supply store Sam Flax is closing its store at 11 West 19th St. There are big savings on things like high-end office furniture, all kinds of art supplies, stationery, and lots of picture frames. The sale will run through June.

Shoo Loong Kan, a Chinese hot pot restaurant will soon arrive on 13th St. in the space that old timers will fondly remember as Borgo Antico. (The name means little dragon ridge.) The chain already has locations in Chicago, Houston, and Flushing.

The Union Square Partnership offers many good deals on local shops and restaurants.

Next week (September 23 to September 27), material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on the academic floors inside the building. Additionally we will be using a lift on the sidewalk to wash the exterior of the building.

The following week (September 30 to October 4), material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on academic floors.

This weekend the site will be open on Saturday, September 21st for interior activities between the work hours of 7AM and 5PM as permitted by the City.
