Sales are hot hot hot at 27 East 12th St., the upcoming skyscraper on the site of Bowlmor Lanes. Even though the building doesn’t yet exist, at least 20 of the 53 units, including both zillion-dollar penthouses, are sold. Movin’ on up.
The annual meeting of shareholders will take place on June 6 at 7PM at the Seafarers and International House at 123 East 15th St., second floor.
From Gothamist: Reverend Billy climbed to the roof of the Pavilion building in Union Square last night around 6:30 p.m. to hang a banner reading: Not For Sale. While he was up there, he gave the passersby a lessn on why the historic free speech structure cannot be turned into a private, upscale restaurant; reminding people that the first Labor Day in 1882 took place there, and that one “shouldn’t have to buy a $15 appetizer to have access to this building.” Catch the nutty video.
Looking ahead to the upcoming holiday, the New School construction site will be closed on Saturday, December 31st and also on Monday, January 2nd. Next week (January 2 to January 6), Superstructure and concrete work will continue at 2nd and 3rd floor levels. Sidewalk sheds will continue being erected around the perimeter of the site and we will be opening the one on 14th st. The following week (January 9 to January 13), we will continue superstructure concrete and slabs on 2nd and 3rd floor levels. In the upcoming weekend, January 14th, we plan on installing the new crane on Fifth Avenue.
