The details are emerging about 116 University Place, the five-unit condo currently rising on the corner of University and 13th. The lower four units will range from $7.2 to $3 million (each is 3,050 square feet). The penthouse, with its expansive roof deck, will sell for a cool $10 million.
The city’s biggest Duane Reade has opened on 14th St. next to Best Buy and Nordstrom Rack. It’s open 24 hours, as is Best Buy. Shop all night.
Soon to occupy the former Forbidden Planet space is Zumiez, a store with all the latest skateboard fashions.

After more than a decade serving noodles at Smorgasburg and two years running Noodle Lane in Park Slope, Lane Li and Chris Wang are opening the 40-seat bistro Rulin. The specialty will be Chinese knife-shaved and hand-pulled noodles — like dan dan mian with pork, Sichuan vegetables, and scallions — and a signature “Rulin” noodle served with mustard greens and chicken broth.
Coming to 39 East 13th St., the former home of Spice Thai restaurant, is Moja, which will offer: “The juicy, hard-seared satisfaction of an American smash burger. The flaky, buttery, laminated layers of a South Asian paratha, rolled into a coil and griddled until the layers pull apart. Put one inside the other and the brioche bun starts to look like a compromise. Not a trend. A texture upgrade.”
The Diesel store on the corner of 14th and Union Square West is no more. In its place will be a Reebok store and gym. Let’s get physical.
