Coffee and Games Coming to Broadway and 11th

Bak Korean Kitchen, which shared our building on 13th St., i\s no more. It was the fifth restaurant in that location in eight years. However, the Karaoke Cave downstairs is undergoing renovation and will reopen.

Check out Bergino Baseball Clubhouse, a new shop on 11th between University and Broadway that’s devoted to all things baseball.

Note that the entire western side of 3rd Ave. between 10th and 11th Streets save for the southernmost building has been bought up and is destined to meet the wrecking ball. The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation says there are significant buildings with important stories on the block, but it seems unlikely the city will step in to stop redevelopment.

This image looks south on 6th Avenue from 14th St. in 1909. It’s hard to imagine a time when there were so many elevated trains.

The very trendy and popular Pop Up Bagels has added a new shop at 20 East 16th St. Enjoy.
