Cosi, which closed on the corner of 13th and 6th a while back, finally has a new tenant: PinoMaximo, an all-things-Italian place specializing in pizza and gelato. Not open yet, but looks tasty.

    Your reporter visited an open house at 15 Union Square West. The verdict: the ceilings are incredibly high and the windows are huge. Fixtures are fantastic although overdesigned for someone with more sedate tastes. The most interesting feature: an interior atrium complete with 19th century ironwork and a skylight that will be restored. Incredible to see it. The big problem: these apartments are insanely expensive.

    Join the leadership of the 6th Precinct, your neighbors and local businesses for an update on community affairs.  This is also your opportunity to advise Precinct Leadership of chronic or specific crime/safety/quality of life problems you see in our community so their actions are directed with your unique insights. Take this opportunity to listen or to voice your thoughts in an open and informative session.  We encourage you to tell/bring a neighbor and be a part of your Community’s voice.

    As part of the planned 2024 enhancements we return to our regular monthly meeting program with our very important September 25th meeting that will feature a comprehensive panel of our Community’s Elected Officials addressing Crime, Safety and Quality of Life in our community.
