Reports are in about how 13th St. and 14th St. may change when the L train shuts down for 15 months. Some amazing details, most notably the creation of the city’s first protected two-way bike lane running the entire length of 13th St. Hard to imagine what it will be like in reality.

If you get the chance, walk by the former location of The Adore at 17 East 13th St. where renovations have uncovered an antique sign advertising childrens’ haircuts. Sad to say, it’s likely that it will be gone soon.

Mark your calendars for October 6, when beer drinking comes to Union Square Park at Torch and Crown in the northern plaza.

What used to be a fur shop is now Petco. Somehow appropriate.

Sweetgreen, the expensive high-end organic salad bar place, will arrive in the vacant space on University Place between 12th and 13th St. Kale for everyone.
