Patisserie Fouet on 13th St. is gone, and now we know what will be next in the space:
After more than a decade serving noodles at Smorgasburg and two years running Noodle Lane in Park Slope, Lane Li and Chris Wang are opening the 40-seat bistro Rulin. The specialty will be Chinese knife-shaved and hand-pulled noodles — like dan dan mian with pork, Sichuan vegetables, and scallions — and a signature “Rulin” noodle served with mustard greens and chicken broth.
Steak Frites on 16th St., which morphed into Union Prime, is morphing back into Steak Frites. Go figure

As part of the planned 2024 enhancements to our regular monthly meeting programs, this June meeting will include a panel of guest speakers from the NYC Department of Homeless Services and integral partner agencies: Chris Gonzalez, DSS Chief Strategy Officer, Kevin Perdomo, DHS Assistant Commissioner for Street Homeless Solutions, Tamara Felix, Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) Community Outreach Coordinator. They will address the Homeless Crisis and how they are tackling this important issue in our neighborhood and what information our Community residents and businesses should know.
