  • Reminder: Shareholders’ Meeting on Tuesday, December 3

    Please note that the 2024 Annual Meeting of Shareholders for 7-11 East 13th Street Tenants Corp. will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6:00PM. The meeting will be held at Conservative Synagogue of Fifth Avenue located at 11 East 11th Street, New York, NY 10003.  A formal notice of the meeting will follow.

    The primary purpose of the meeting is to elect the Board of Directors for the upcoming year.     Nom!, whatever that is, has signage up at University and 11th at the former site of Whitney Chemists. One can assume it will provide food of some sort, but no other details are available yet.

  • Everyone Loves Sandwiches

    A tempting lineup of sandwiches awaits at the compact new Make Sandwich shop from Spencer Rubin, who owns the Melt Shop chain. He hired Josh Sharkey, the founder of Bark Hot Dogs, as culinary director. The nine preset sandwich combinations, like tri-tip steak with salsa verde, range in price from $7.95 to $11.95. All sandwiches are made to order in five to seven minutes with ingredients like Parmigiano-Reggiano, organic eggs and Pain d’Avignon bread.   • Latest New School Construction Update

    Next week (November 19 to November 23), Material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on all floors. Curtain wall installation on the lower floors along 14th st. has been completed and the crane has left the job. The site will be closed on the 22nd for the holiday but will be open Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th.

    The following week (November 26 to November 30) Material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on all floors.

    This weekend the site will be open on Saturday, November 17th for interior related activities between the work hours of 7AM and 5PM as permitted by the City. Con Ed will be working in the street.
