Here’s the latest rendering of the very expensive condos that will rise in the hole in the ground at 13th and 5th. Note there are only a few duplex apartments. They will be really pricey.

ByDonThe 2011 “Summer in the Square,” at Union Square, provides early morning fitness, family fun for kids and parents, and live music every Thursday until Aug. 11. In the evening, live music is presented, beginning at 6 p.m., from a diverse mix of genres like latin, rock, jazz, and folk and a mix of local and touring bands. The exception was June 30, when three groups performed. Latest New School Construction Update
ByDonNext week (April 22 to April 26), material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on all floors inside the building. We will be work on the new sidewalks around the building as well.
The following week (April 29 to May 3), material and equipment deliveries and installation work will continue on all floors.
This weekend the site will be open on Saturday, April 20th for interior and sidewalk activities between the work hours of 7AM and 5PM as permitted by the City.

New French/Japanese Patisserie to Open
ByDonYou may remember The Adore on the 13th St. block. Now, a couple of doors down at the former site of the copy shop and, briefly, Blossom de Jour, will be a new French/Japanese bakery called Patisserie Fouet.
Virgin Sale Improves to 30 Percent
ByDonIt’ll be better at 50 percent, but Virgin has upped its closing discount from 20 percent to 30 percent. Worth a browse, especially for classical music.
