Restaurant Week 2021 is actually running through the month of February, on a to-go and delivery basis. Meals are $20.21, but the big news is that if you go to the web site at NYC Restaurant Week® 2021 Is Back With Delivery – Order To Go! (nycgo.com) and register your Mastercard, you can get $10 off every order, up to ten times. A great deal.
Closed at the corner of 13th and 6th. Probably because for take out, the food was too pricey. Wonder what will fill that cursed space next.

Be sure to check out Num Pang, the tiny new Cambodian sandwich shop on 12th St. just around the corner from University Place. The sandwiches, prices around $7.50 are fresh, spicy, and unusual, very much like Vietnamese banh mi. Crowds have overwhelmed the place in its early days, and it’s been sold out a few times. Still, very much worth a visit, even if the prices are more than double what you would pay for something similar down in Chinatown.
Check out Breads Bakery
, on 16th St. just west of Union Square. It’s really good.
