Sales are hot hot hot at 27 East 12th St., the upcoming skyscraper on the site of Bowlmor Lanes. Even though the building doesn’t yet exist, at least 20 of the 53 units, including both zillion-dollar penthouses, are sold. Movin’ on up.
Well, that was quick. Our downstairs neighbor Spiderbands went defunct quickly.
Beacon’s Closet has a competitor. 2nd St., a Japanese company, is now selling high-end vintage clothing at 110 University Place.
The downtown location of popular vegan restaurant Blossom is out after two years. The team announced the closure of their University Place outpost in an Instagram post, saying that they were “grateful for the chance to focus our energies and resources on our flagship Upper West Side location.”
Looks like University Place will soon get a branch of the popular Pop Burger near 10th St. Also at that location, a coffee spot called Pop Roast. Expected opening: early 2011
That was fast. Pie Face, at 4th and 13th, is already gone.
